so i wasn't able to detect an answer on this forum, and I wasn't able to go any support from Microsoft on this issue, but i did go ALL of music to show upward in the Groove Music Windows 10 app. Here'south what I did:

1. With the Groove Music app closed, I logged into the Onedrive spider web app, and renamed my existing music binder to "Music1".

2. I then launched the Groove Music app on my tablet. This automatically created a new Music binder in my Onedrive.

3. I moved all of my music from the renamed "Music1" folder to the newly created "Music" folder.

iv. Since the new Music folder was just created, the default sync setting were to sync with my tablet. ALL of my music began downloading to my local Onedrive folder. This plainly was not good, since I just have 6gb of free space on my tablet. At this point, albums began to populate in the Groove Music app as "available offline" music.

5. I opened the Onedrive icon in my tablet system tray, and deselected the "Music" folder, to stop music from downloading to my local Onedrive folder. Once this change was made, the music which had begun to populate in the Groove Music app once again disappeared, and I was left with NO music in Groove.

6. I then launched the Groove web histrion, to see if my music appeared there. All of my music was gone from the web thespian.

vii. I so moved all of my music back to the original Onedrive folder (now named "Music1").

8. once the music was done moving over, I deleted the now empty Music binder, and renamed "Music1" back to "Music".

9. My music now appears both in the Groove Music (tablet Windows 10) app, AND in the Groove web role player.

Merely as an FYI, all of my Onedrive music drove used to appear in the Xbox music app, before I upgraded to Windows ten, then I'm not sure why it was necessary to become through all this problem just to get the Groove Music app to work the mode it'south supposed to, simply I hope that this helps some of you lot folks who are experiencing the aforementioned outcome.

I've got the same issue - with all devices not only Windows PCs (even iOS).  Wherever Groove is it doesn't detect thousands of songs in Onedrive/Files/Music.  Been like that for months...

I had an issue where the Groove app would not display or play any songs from my OneDrive library, the web version would work without issues though.

Turns our my computer idea I was in a location where Groove is not supported, in my case the computer had me located in Thailand for some reason, when I changed this setting in the system settings to my proper location (Australia) the app returned to full working order.

I am having the same issue on my Windows Phone.  I tin can put music files on OneDrive and Groove on the PC sees it simply the phone does non.  I tried signing into and out of Groove on my phone only nothing.  I deleted all my music files from OneDrive and my telephone nonetheless continued to come across them, but they wouldn't play.  I had to manually remove all the songs from Groove on the phone.  I delete the Music folder and remade one simply even so nothing.

I don't know if Google Music is available on Windows Phone or not.  I assume not. But information technology is probably worth considering a move to either Google Music or Apple Music for the long term.  At present that MS has shut downward Groove Music, I don't know what kind of attention they volition requite to the Groove Music app.  I know that they say they will proceed to support streaming your cloud library but not certain I would put much faith in that.  A month ago I would take too recommended Amazon, every bit they had a cloud library feature, but unless yous already have your music uploaded, you won't exist able to do so now because they are no longer accepting new user accounts for their music library feature.

Try this. Open OneDrive app on the phone, and navigate to the Music folder to select a vocal. Play the vocal for a few seconds at least. This way you know that your phone tin "run across" your music on OneDrive. At present open Groove on the phone. In my experience the missing songs started to show upwards after a minute or 2 of Groove (Xbox Music in my case) running.

Unfortunately that's not an choice for those still on Windows Phone. Almost likely I volition simply use an SD card with Groove instead.
